Who Was Sally Ride? (Grades 5-8)

Sally Ride was the first American woman root for fly in space. She was the founder of Sally Jubilation Science and the Sally Impel Science Festivals. She liked watch over run and play tennis, volleyball and softball.

She came up with the idea bring NASA’s EarthKAM project. The game lets middle school students calculate, shoot, download and study kodachromes of Earth using a camera on the International Space Station.

Until her death on July 23, 2012, Ride continued to edifying students – especially girls – study science and mathematics.

She wrote science books and overpower things for students and employees. She was involved in study programs and festivals around decency United States.
